NEW BUILD! Alpha 0.5.4 Patch Notes:
New Features:
- Inventory Sorting! I finally added a sort button to most inventories. It sorts by Weapons, Consumables, Armor and Resources. Then it sorts based on the item's ID. I'll probably add a search/filter feature down the line, but for now it's just much easier to search through clean inventories!
- Tree Balance: Due to some feedback I've been getting, I've lowered the base tree's health and scaling based on the tree size. I'll try to figure out a good balance, but for now I've just decreased it.
- Drill Bot Mine-able Searching: Drill bots search radius has been buffed, meaning when you tell them to start drilling, they'll find the nearest resource vein. Now they will also look for another source once their current one is depleted. If none is found, they'll just finish off by drilling up some flint/stone.
- More Resources in the Starting Area: I spent a bit of time adding some more resources in the starting area to make the early game go faster for ease of testing. I may have to tone it back down for future releases once there's more content throughout the world.
Bug Fixes:
- Enemy attack hit boxes have been fixed. Some enemies, mainly the spitters and the scorched mother were set to collide with everything, making them hit in a huuuuge radius, so that's been changed.
- Fixed an inventory bug where if you tried to equip an item from an allies storage, it would generate an empty item, breaking the player's inventory. For now I've just disabled hitting the equip button when selecting an item in a storage. Will have to revisit this later.
- Fixed a bug where drill bots that had been loaded in from a save on top of a mine couldn't drill the mine. Now it properly gets the nearest mine and sets up the references.
Behind the scenes:
- This will likely be the last of the patches before 0.6.0. I just wanted to get the inventory sorting rushed out because I was getting annoyed with the lack of inventory organization.
